The Hong Kong-Australia Business Association (HKABA) NSW Chapter, an initiative set up by Hong Kong Trade Development Council will officially launch their annual Business Awards for 2009 on Friday 15 May at Hilton Hotel Sydney. The Awards are set to be officially launched by Mr. David Howard, NSW/ACT State Manager of Australia Trade Commission (Austrade) Mr. Ling Guiru, Counsellor for Economic & Commercial Section of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Sydney and the Director of the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office Ms. Lorna Wong.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the annual Hong Kong Australia Business Association- NSW Chapter Business Awards. It is designed to provide recognition and incentive to NSW individuals and companies who strive for excellence in all aspects of international trade between NSW and Hong Kong SAR/China. The Business Awards has become a prestigious event within the NSW business community since its inception in 2000.
Entrants will be competing in the following: Export of Goods and Services, Import of Goods, and Services, Creative SME, and Contribution to Industry. In addition to these awards, there will be a Grand Prize inaugurated by the judging pane. The Judging Panel will be chaired by The Hon. Sir Laurence Street AC KCMG QC, with representations from the NSW Government, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Austrade, as well as Qantas Airways, Aon Risk Services, CMC Markets, EWH Food Services and Volkswagen Group Australia

Our Business Awards is a way of recognizing those hardworking entrepreneurs dispute the difficult times. 2009年度香港澳洲商會新南威爾斯分會商業成就獎正式揭開序幕
由香港貿易發展局發起創立的香港澳洲商會 (Hong Kong-Australia Business Association) 新南威爾斯分會，將於2009 年5月 15 日 (星期五) 假悉尼希爾頓酒店，為本年度商業成就奬揭開序幕。
2009 年是香港澳洲商會新南威爾斯分會的商業成就奬10周年誌慶，亦標誌著這項享有殊名的盛事的重要里程碑。該獎項的宗旨是針對在新南威爾斯，中國及香港之間進行國際貿易聯繫的中小企業，表揚他們的企業精神和成就。
參賽者將角逐六個組別的獎項，分別是：出口產品奬、出口服務奬、進口產品奬、進口服務奬、創意中小企奬，以及行業貢獻奬。最高榮譽的大獎優勝者將會在六項獎項的得主中選出。
歷屆的優勝者來自各個不同的企業, 包括: 銀行, 教育, 法律, 旅遊, 航空, 製造, 運輸, 零售, 電訊, 進出口, 建築, 金融等等.
評判團由Laurence Street AC KCMG QC爵士擔任主席，評判團代表則由來自新南威爾斯政府、香港貿易發展局、澳洲商務署，以及香港澳洲商會新南威爾斯分會的白金贊助商 – 澳洲航空公司、怡安風險服務、CMC Markets、EWH Food Services 及澳洲VOLKSWAGEN 集團擔任。
香港澳洲商會新南威爾斯分會主席Peter Sinn表示：「本年度標誌著商業成就奬由創辦至今的10周年紀念。該奬項在過去10載茁壯成長，已成為新南威爾斯最大規模的頒奬盛事之一。2009年對很多小企業來說，將會是極具挑戰的一年。商業成就獎是向勤奮企業家作出表彰的行為，旨在表揚他們敢於迎戰困難時期。此外，藉著參加由香港澳洲商會新南威爾斯分會全年主辦的盛事及活動，來豐富公司業務簡介的內容，另公司有更多的進取機會。」
